At X-trodes, you’ll help shape the future of electrophysiological solutions, collaborating with engineers, researchers, and external partners to create innovative, user-centred products.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and refine the industrial design of our products, ensuring an intuitive and high-quality usability.
- Work closely with external sub-contractors for mechanical and industrial design.
- Develop and improve designs, balancing aesthetics, functionality, and production feasibility and transfer to production.
- Conduct research and testing to improve usability, comfort, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with external vendors and manufacturing partners to explore new materials, reduce production costs, and improve processes.
- Hands-on involvement in prototyping and testing, ensuring the seamless transition of design concepts into functional, scalable, and production-ready solutions.
- Support regulatory and technical documentation processes related to design and production.
- Ownership of the complete multidisciplinary industrial design’s development processes within the organization.
- Utilize 3D design software and illustration tools to create and refine product designs.
- Operate and maintain machinery, including 3D printers and laser cutters, ensuring precision and attention to detail in intricate mechanical tasks.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Industrial Design.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial design, preferably within wearables, medical devices, or consumer health products.
- Strong skills in 2D and 3D design software (Fusion, SolidWorks, Illustrator, CAD, or similar tools)- a must.
- Experience with Hands-on prototyping, modelling, and usability testing- a must.
- A hands-on, can-do mindset with eagerness to learn, grow, and work with tools and precision tasks.
- Must be comfortable operating machinery, including 3D printers and laser cutters.
- Ability to collaborate across teams in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) – a must.
- Experience in electrophysiology, health tech, medical devices, or wearables—an advantage.
- Experience and understanding in mechanical design and manufacturing processes – an advantage.
- Knowledge of electrophysiology – an advantage.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proven experience in the full design cycle, from concept to production– a must.
- Experience working with a variety of materials – an advantage.
- Strong design capabilities and aesthetic sensibility – an advantage.
